In a recent article in New Scientist and posted on The Reason Project.org, two very ignorant foundations are battling for, well lets see...Ok, battling for whose nonscientific dogma is better.

In one corner we have Francis Collins, the guy who ran the Human Genome Project and who is also a god believing fundi nut. With such scientific credentials as his, you would think that reason would have won; but not in his case. With that noted, it must also be said and here comes the shocker, he is also a proponent of Evolution. I know, I know..an Evangelical who is against the fact of Evolution; I was taken aback the first time I read it to; Nah, just kidding.

But Mr. Collins and his fellow invisible friend supporters seem to be coming to terms with the fact that when one has the empirical evidence to support their claims; in this case Evolution and the other is left holding up a hypothesis on popsicle sticks and desert dogma, well then what else is there to do besides acknowledging in their fundi nut way that "that faith and science need not be at odds".

In a way, it is a nod to defeat, but not completely. You see, he is pushing a new line of creationist bullshit; which he calls "“theistic evolution”. It is the idea that god moves Evolution and created life through it. Not exactly the all knowing and all powerful deity is it? To me, this shows weakness and removes the all powerful all knowingness from their friend. I mean, if you control every aspect of the universe, then why the need for Evolution? You could just make shit appear from nothing because you would obviously have the power to manipulate atoms and we all know that atoms are everything.

Mr. Collin's 'hypothesis' is just the usual denial of empirical facts regarding Evolution, self induced ignorance.

In the other corner is the infamous shit stirring Discovery Institute. You know, that organization that waste time an energy for the advancement of stupidity. These neanderthals have launched a new crap site called: Faith and Evolution. Too my surprise those morons have maintained their position that Evolution and religion are NOT compatible..what a shocker.

It matters not to me that their is a pocket of diluted fools who cuddle their bronze age desert dogma like a security blanket. What matters to me, is that their dark age 'logic'(if you can call it that) to support their creationist bullshit is not allowed to plague proper Science Education and research.

The Discovery Institute wants to replace Science with their invisible creator friend hypothesis. That is correct, they want to remove all that we have learned and replace it with this bible rubbish and superstitious nonsense. Have you ever seen the movie Idiocracy? That is what the world would look like if that was to happen; Horrifying to say the least.

In closing, Mr. Collins funding for his Boilogos comes from the devil him self, The Templeton Foundation. I have no fear that the majority of real Scientist will look upon these creationist hypothesis with a giggle and no matter how the creationist wrap their shit, it will be called out and rejected.

We have the fossils, we have Lucy and now we have Ida...creationist have a book written by who knows along with a few manipulated scientific theories and some word twisting; that is it. Still they believe they have their "Ah HA!" hypothesis. In reality, it is just creationist deception of the public, lying in order to support their agenda of lowering IQs world wide and to have people believe things without evidence, to just take things on 'Faith'.

The more ignorant people are, the more likely they will buy the creationist bullshit. But as always, the Empirical Evidence will always win over religious rhetoric bullshit.

I recently found an article attached to the bulletin board at work. A fundi regularly post many propaganda pieces and I just have to feed them to the shredder, I just can not help myself, when I see his trite it must be fed to the shredder. Think of it as a public service I provide, saving countless eyes from seeing large amounts of bullshit. I would not be so quick to tear them down if he also put up the other side of the story, which he never does.

One of the pieces of toilette paper he tacked to the board is called "America is systematically de-christianized and secularized." It seems to be a hatchet job to a Pat Buchanan article posted on RealClearPolitics called "Not God's Country anymore" published on April 17th and another article from WorldNutDaily called "Why are Christians Losing America?" published May 2nd of 2005.

I had no luck finding the actual email on the Internet, sometimes people do post these e-news letters on a forum or blog, but I have yet to find it. Anyway, I am going to go over some of the crap in this news letter. I know, it’s quite painful, but it is a pain I must share.

The title again, is "America is systematically de-christianized and secularized." The title alone is a clear display of ignorance. De-Christianized? It is made to sound as though there is a Death Squad driving around knocking off Xtians or they are suffering from Apartheid. I do not at all believe for a second that there is a systematic clearing out of believers, in fact, it is most reasonable to assert the opposite. Religious people are not being told that they are second class citizens, as the religious have always done and still do to the Gay community, people of other religions and non-believers. So no pity parties for xtians.

What the religious in this country suffers from, is delusions of grandeur. The idea that they are the center of the universe and that we ALL should subscribe to their ideology. They are not the center of anything, never have been nor will they ever be. They are arrogant enough to think of themselves as the center of the universe and that God picked America as his favorite country among all the others; xtians win the arrogant asshole prize.

The first sentence of this drivel is a statistic, which looks very promising and I can only hope that it gets better from there. The statistic states that "We've gone from 86% to 76% in 19 years", well that would be a significant cut in the profit margin now wouldn't? I think their statistic is way off and it is far more likely that non-believer exceeds that of believers, but non-believers are not in a rush to advertise it. The letter continues:
"An arrogant Muslim now occupies the White House; he has intensified the destruction of America. He ignored our concern that he is not an American citizen. He refused to allay our concerns by producing a legitimate birth certificate. He tramples, daily, on the Constitution and on everything that is dear to authentic Americans."

Can you say selfish? That is a ‘me me me’ paragraph if I have ever read one. Still passing along the propaganda that Obama is not an American citizen, it is absurd to carry on such nonsense after empirical evidence has been provided, but we all know that believers love a good fairy tale. This was confirmed and verified that he is in fact an American citizen; He could not have held public office if he was not an American citizen.

The first paragraph is fear mongering at its best, Joseph Goebbels would be so proud of the Reich Wing propaganda machine. So much hate and discontent, so little time, because jesus is coming any moment. America is on the mend from 8 years of tyranny and recklessness based on fabricated bullshit and yet, these fundi nuts have it in their bird brains that Obama has "intensified the destruction of America", well, just "their" America, not the real America. They were quite pleased with Bush's abuse of power, and excessive spending, never heard a concern then, even though he used them to get what he wanted and they fell for it. Bush on the Constitution: “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

By Obama doing what he is suppose to be doing, which is take care of the citizenry as a whole, the fundi's feel left out in the cold. Even though, their right to worship as they choose is not at all in jeopardy. Still, they continue to try and keep fellow citizens in a second class status and maintain their dream of American Theocracy.

The fear mongering nonsense continues:

According to the very article they claim is being trampled upon by President Obama, the 1st Amendment states, very clearly, that there is a separation between church and state. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof".

Unlike their hell bent desire to forbid the Gay community the right to marry or a women’s right to choose, no one is attempting to undue the 1st Amendment so they are no longer allowed to worship as they so choose. The only ones loaded with hate for people no like them, are the religious fanatics; as for the 'chosen' are concerned, that would be the Jews, not a Judaism spin off cult.

For whining about some one trampling on the Constitution, they boo hoo over the 1st amendment; public school is just that PUBLIC, where many different kids from different backgrounds, attend.

The line of "All across America, Socialist foxes are in the hen house." Socialist they cry! What is Socialism, since so many clearly have this idea that Socialism is Communism; it is ignorance on their part for not having the initiative to look it up. According to the Socialist Party Of America "strives to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control - a non-racist, classless, feminist socialist society... where working people own and control the means of production and distribution through democratically-controlled public agencies..." No one is advocating for a completely Socialist society, it just would not work, but neither does our Capitalist society. But a proper balance between the too would work. Simple because some things, like Health Care, should not be for profit.

The xtians in America now a have make-believe crisis on their hands, all fabricated to whip their ilk into a frenzy over nothing. They want to scare people back to church because the donation bucket is not as full as it once was and with empty pews, that preacher/pastor/shaman can only drive one Mercedes.

Without scared people, who is going to subscribe to their propaganda-fear-mongering-lie soaked news letter of racket?

While I was searching for pics to ad to my new blog, I come across some of the most absurd bullshit regarding Atheism and ones feeble attempt at painting non-belief in invisible friends and bronze age desert dogma as mass murderers, violent and irrational.

If there ever was a historical record of Atheist bloodshed, like that of religions brutal blood bath of a past, I am sure we would be more than willing to admit it since the evidence was there. However, there is no evidence at all to support the ridiculous notion that Atheism has a violent past. The actuation was made on a blog that I am not going to name here, but here are some of the content:

I must say, with all that drivel you would think that those opinions would have some evidence to give them some weight. As is common with such trite and accusations, there is NEVER any evidence to support them, just half assed opinions void of any content support at all.

What they are trying to convey is that some of the worlds most tyrannical leaders were Atheist, which is simply false. Hitler was raised in the Catholic Church and still to this day has not been excommunicated, Stalin was a Orthodox Catholic and Mussolini was also a Catholic. Pol Pot was not an Atheist either. What Stalin, Mussolini and Pol Pot have in common is Communism; as it was invoked by them, their desire was to be Godlike and to be looked upon as such. This does not indicate Atheism, this shows a deeper need to take the place of supreme creator/provider.

Hitler was not an Atheist, be too wanted to be godlike and worshiped as a the liberator, the one who was going to save the Germans from those evil Jews. The Catholic Church at the time was more then happy to turn in their Jewish neighbors to the Reich and turned a blind eye to the atrocities committed by the Nazis to not only the Jews, but everyone else the perceived as non Aryan.

So the ridiculous idea that Atheism has a just a violent of a past as religion is utter nonsense. When such accusations come up, it better have some evidence to go with it.
